Month SEVEN

Calleigh's seventh month was full of fun new activities! Our little miracle has the sweetest personality on the planet... and it matches her beautiful little face perfectly! I know I say it all the time, but we truly are incredibly blessed. I really couldn't imagine our lives without her... and I DON'T want to!

This month I only completed one Pinterest project for Calleigh... Like all the others, it was easy to do and turned out adorable! I found a fall pumpkin and ironed it to a long sleeved white onesie, and then made her the first of many tutu's :) I made this outfit specifically for our trip to the Pumpkin Patch, and I must say, she was by far the cutest and most stylish pumpkin at the patch!

The first of many tutu's!
Our precious pumpkin!

This month Calleigh had her first pediatric chiropractor appointment with Dr. Moore. Yes, I took my child to a pediatric chiropractor! With Calleigh having 3 ear infections (2 of which were DOUBLE ear infections) in 6 weeks, I wanted to look into alternative therapies that might help my poor baby's ears. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for western medicine when needed... but I am NOT for my baby being on it continuously, I am NOT ready to start considering tubes, and last but definitely not least, I am NOT okay with my child being in constant pain and discomfort. So with quite a bit of research and talking to other mommies that have tried pediatric chiropractor therapy, we made our first appointment with Dr. Moore. And I'm going to be honest, I wasn't totally sure what to think at first. But after the second appointment (one week after the first one), I am totally and 100% a fan. I could see a difference in my child in days. Dr. Moore was fabulous with Calleigh and I would recommend her to anyone! So far we have been ear infection free for almost 4 weeks!!! I know that doesn't seem like that big of a deal to some of you, but when your child has literally been getting an ear infection every other week, 4 weeks is a BIG deal... and I am praising God for this small victory!

Calleigh's 7 Month Milestones:

  • sleeping was still off this month :( she only slept 3-4 hours at a time... hopefully with continued progress of her ears we will see a change this next month.
  • 3-6 months and 6 months clothes - with 6 months still being too big
  • size 2 diapers
  • another double ear infection :(
  • teething - Dr. Porter said he could see teeth on the backside of her bottom gums - this is also contributing to her sleepless nights :(
  • tried sweet potatoes, green beans, apples, peas, and butternut squash - likes everything but the green beans :) I am making all of her food from organic fruits and veggies... it's both easy and fun!
  • plays in her walker (feet don't touch quite yet) - but likes to try and eat the horn
  • LOVES to splash, kick, and grab toys that float by her in the bath tub
  • sits up by herself
  • holds her arms out for people to hold her
  • fake coughs - this is super funny! I hope to get it on video soon!
  • raises up on her knees when she's on her tummy
  • first Pumpkin Patch
  • first chiropractic appointment
  • first Texas State Fair
  • first Halloween
  • first time swinging at the park
