6 Months Pictures

We had Calleigh's six months pictures taken at the beginning of October. And I must say, it was quite the photo shoot :) Calleigh would NOT stop jabbering! It was just one long conversation from the minute we got to the studio to the minute we got back into the car. When we left the studio, Travis made the comment that he would be shocked if there were more than three good pictures. My guess was that there might be two. After an hour's worth of shooting, neither of us were far off... there were only about 6 good ones! Even the photographer kept commenting on Calleigh's jabbering... to the point of repeating several times that she has NEVER had a six month old jabber through an entire session like that! It was hard for her to capture Calleigh's beautiful smile in the midst of her in depth conversation, but here's what she got.

I originally thought about having Calleigh's six months pictures redone, but now I think I will leave it just as is... a funny memory of our sweet baby girl. If only we knew what she was saying :)

Month SIX

Yep, you read that right... Calleigh is SIX months old! Half way to her first birthday! I feel like every time I blink she changes. She is getting so big... makes me both happy and sad at the same time. Happy that she is growing, but sad that it's happening so fast. Thank goodness for technology so that I can easily document it all along the way! If it were up to me to remember it all, it simply wouldn't happen. I still consider myself to have 'pregnancy' brain the majority of the time! :)

My Pinterest projects for Calleigh's sixth month included a pink chiffon flower hair bow and a Fightin' Texas Aggie dress! The hair bow was really easy to make and from the pictures below you can see that Calleigh had a fun time modeling it :) The dress was easy to make as well, and she looked adorable as always supporting her Aggies. I didn't have it made in time for the first game of the season, but she was good to go by the second game!

Such a pretty girl...
With a pretty personality to match!

This month Calleigh got to visit Dr. Crow for a well visit and a sick visit :( The well visit of course included those pesky shots that neither of us are very fond of. Good thing that she is a trooper! At her sixth month visit, Calleigh weighed in at 14 pounds 12 ounces and was 25 inches long. These stats put her right at the 25th percentile for both height and weight. Once again, there was no concern about being on the small end since her height and weight are still proportionate to each other. And as usual, Dr. Crow commented on what a fabulous baby we have... and her daddy and I completely agree! :)

Calleigh's 6 Month Milestones:

  • slept 5-6 hours straight... most nights - ear infections have completely messed her sleeping up :( we are working on trying to get back to sleeping through the night again
  • 3 months, 3-6 months, and 6 months clothes - 6 months clothes are still too big, but if I don't let her wear some of them she won't ever be able to because of the changing seasons (she got lots of cute summery 6 month outfits from people at our showers)
  • size 2 diapers
  • tried oatmeal cereal... not the biggest fan - prefers her rice cereal
  • double ear infection :(
  • rolls from front to back in both directions
  • rolls back to front in both directions
  • does continuous rolls
  • sits up momentarily by herself
  • really enjoys her exersaucer - spins around in it to get to all the toys
  • graduated to the big girl bath tub seat - her constantly trying to sit up in the infant tub quickly prompted this
  • likes riding Bella like a horse - she thinks Bella is the greatest thing since sliced bread
  • jabbers "dada" all the time despite my efforts for her to say "mama"
  • first Aggie game

Proud of herself for doing continuous rolls

Liking her big girl seat
